Another contour drawing entry. This one is a friend of mine who is a member of a Taliban subdivision in Malaysia, called Hoxederka. She also helps her friend run a cafe to smokescreen their chocolate and chicken breast bombing operations.
M is for Moona, it's good enough for meee

Hui Woon
A really quick contour (excuse for the distorted anatomy) drawing I did at KL Design Week. The event was very fruitful despite some unforeseen circumstances at the beginning.

Retrospective: 2006
An old experimental motion graphics I did way back during my uni days. I conducted a research on the dying traditional Wayang Kulit (shadow puppet theater) and ways on how it can be reinterpreted for contemporary audience.
The result? Wayang Maya. The said terminology updated with Maya (Malay for Virtual):
Pretty funny, and it's ALWAYS strage when you revisit your old works...

KL Design Week 2009
28th March - 4th April 2009
CAPSQUARE KL
10am - 10pm
Free admission
More info:
http://kldesignweek.com/
I will be exhibiting my recent digital works at KL Design Week 2009 together with fellow Digital Malaya Project artists, especially Muid Latif - the backbone of DMP.
I had to re-layout Demi Kala and two Intipati pages to make them fit the landscape format required for the show. I quite like the revisit, particularly Demi Kala:
Demi Kala
Intipati (Pages 3, 5)
We are very fortunate to have Canon sponsoring us for the prints. Thank you Canon!
See you guys on the opening day :D

Intipati: Page 5 + Black Light Fan Art
It's nice to be able to end the weekend night with a completion of a page. I foresee myself taking my own sweet time on this project.. Or it will most probably take life into its own into a long, dwindled narrative.
After seeing the pages so far, I wish I was endowed with the eloquence of language to be able to pair the art with interesting - if not pretentious - poetry captions. Maybe when it's all done I'll see what I can think of. A collaboration, perhaps.
On a side note, today I received a Black Light fan art from Plue:
It feels strange to see yourself painted as the character in your own comic :P You can check out Black Light on Myspace for more fan art submission.

Intipati: Page 5 (Work In Progress)
I finally got the time to continue this comic. Felt like sharing my process here as usual. Nothing great but hey it's my fucking blog!
Speaking of sharing, saw this the other day and I couldn't resist snapping a shot!
